Independence Day

I was under the impression that my family and I were celebrating the Fourth of July yesterday. We had a cookout at my brother's house: grilled chicken, corn, mixed veggies, and finally angel food cake. Traditional holiday fare for us. I waited patiently for my brother to bring out the fireworks and sparklers. I waited, and waited, and waited. Turns out, this was just a random family get together. We're celebrating the Fourth on the fourth. Silly me. Regardless, the food was fantastic and I got some great pictures of my niece and nephew. Sadly, I cannot post pictures of them here on my blog, but I did get a few other fun ones:

I drove that lawn mower like a BOSS.

My family has a weird idea of fun. Ha!

I might get to go to Elephant Rocks tomorrow. I am uber excited! I absolutely love Fourth of July! The rest of my week will be spent doing laundry, packing, and daydreaming. Any guesses as to where I am going on vacation? :)

xo,
Katy
