- Life's been pretty crazy around here lately. There are many reasons for my sporadic posting, the main one being that my computer crashed again. I've finally come to terms with the fact that I'm going to have to cough up the cash for a new one.
- My classes are super challenging this semester. I'm getting up into 400 level classes, which take so much more of my time. Regardless, I'm loving my classes. Except English Renaissance Poetry and Prose. That class is killing me. I'm not much of a poetry person, and Renaissance prose is pretty painful. As much as I love literature and as much as I write, I don't necessarily enjoy studying it unless it's a time period or genre I love.
- We're currently in the thick of rehearsals for The Music Man. It's such a fun musical. I've been cast as the mayor's wife, Eulalie Mackeknie Shinn. Thus far, it's my favorite role I've ever had. She's kind of a bumbling, yet quirky, busy-body. Our performance weekend isn't until April, but I'm already so excited to see how all of our hard work turns out.
- I leave in less than two weeks for a mission trip to Spain and North Africa. I don't have all of my money raised yet, but I know God will provide. For the first time in my life, I can honestly say I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that God wants me on this trip. I've never experienced such clarity. I know it's for a reason, and I am so incredibly excited to see what He does. Be in prayer for my team. We're having to tread very carefully with this trip, so I can't really share much more, but be looking for plenty of pictures and stories when I get back!
Anyway, that's basically what's been up. If you want to keep up with my day-to-day happenings, feel free to follow me on twitter or instagram (@katherinevfry). I post in those respective places too frequently.
